The finer Details
Banwell Village Hall can accommodate 230 people, 120 seated for concerts and is licensed to hold 250. With stage, sound system, lighting and projector making it an ideal venue for concerts and drama productions.
We boast a fully licensed bar with the flexibility of applying for an extension license with advanced notice and ample free parking in our dedicated car park. Saturday evenings are block bookings only, all other times you can hire by the hour.
Booking Details
Security Deposit
A security deposit (intended to cover any expenses falling to the hall for breakages, additional cleaning etc.) must be paid within 14 days of the booking before the booking can be confirmed.
Total booking cost:
- less than £100………………. £40
- more than £100……………. £80
The deposit is additional to the booking cost and will be returned within 14 days after the event.
Payments
Payment for the Hire is to be received no less than 30 days before the event. If the event date booking is made in less than 14 days payment in full is due immediately. Failure to pay the invoice by the due date will entitle us to cancel the booking.
Bar/Kitchen
The bar, and use of the kitchen need to be booked along with the Hall, as they incur additional costs, please remember to add them when booking. Please note the bar needs 14 days with an extension needing a minimum of 30 days’ notice and an additional deposit for bar stock may be required- you will be notified. Use of the kitchen for refreshments only is free of charge.
Stage/Lighting/Projector
Hire of the main hall does not include use of the stage and if required can be booked for an additional fee, when booked you must ensure that lights are turned off and the stage curtains closed. The performance stage lights and the spotlights mounted in the hall must not be used without permission…
Discounts
Repeat hiring can attract discounts as follows:
- Monthly/Fortnightly 5%
- Weekly 10%
Charities and Banwell Village Groups
If bookings are made on behalf of these please notify on booking as they may, at the discretion of the management committee, attract a preferential rate.
Reservation Considerations
When making a reservation it is the hirer’s responsibility to allow for and include in the booking time for set-up, take-down and cleaning at the end of the session. If the hirer does not vacate the hired area at the scheduled time, and delays a subsequent hirer, it may result in withholding an element of the deposit as compensation.
Please ensure you read and accept the terms and conditions. When booking for the first time you will need to create an account, giving your contact details and a password so that you can track your booking status, and view all invoices and payments linked to that booking, much in the same way you would with an online shopping website. Key access to the Hall for your hire will be notified by the booking secretary.
